Global Peace Film Festival Returns!
Celebrating
their 19th year in Central Florida, this year films will be
presented in person from Sept 21 through Sept 26, 2021. Then, the program will be
streamed on their virtual platform Sept 27-Oct 3, 2021.
Because of
the pandemic, most screenings will be presented only at the Winter Park Public
Library with limited capacity.
Held at
Enzian Theater in Winter Park, celebrate the International Day of Peace at the
Opening Night Gala! Directed by Academy
Award®-winning director Louie Psihoyos with co-director Peggy Callahan, Mission:
Joy – Finding Happiness in Troubled Times will be shown.
Describing
themselves as “mischievous brothers,” His Holiness the Dalai Lama and
Archbishop Desmond Tutu give a master class in how to create joy in a world
that was never easy for them. Consisting of largely never-before-seen footage
shot over five days at the Dalai Lama’s residence in Dharamsala, the film
invites viewers to join these luminaries behind the scenes as they recount
stories from their lives.
We
encourage you to buy your tickets early! There are a variety of passes
available for both in-person and the streamed virtual program. See details at www.peacefilmfest.org
