For the love of animals and especially Golden Retrievers, local Winter Park resident Frank Carter fulfilled two rewarding missions:

First, after some preparation training and to celebrate his 60th birth year, beginning March 25, 2019, he hiked roughly 2200 miles (through 14different states from Georgia to Ma ine) of the entire Appalachian Trail.

Second, see Frank’s mascot on his backpack! Also known as “The Golden Walker,” he hiked the trail raising funds for the Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid-Florida. His goal was set at $5,000. To read about his eventful hike (his Blog is impressive), visit: www.thegoldenwalker.com
